Lately I've been depressed, That's no secret. Anyone who knows me, knows I go through withdrawn stages where I shut everyone out. Most of the time, I don't have a reason for doing so. This time I do- But it's nothing I wish to talk about. This blog isn't about me though.
I got to thinking today; a wake-up call if you will. Here I am, depressed about my situation, overwhelmed, and a little lost if I am completely honest.
I've had it worse than this. ALOT worse.
So why am I so depressed about now? It's life...
and someone always has it worse.
For example, My good friend just had a baby, happy times right?
Should be, except she has been in the NICU since birth. She hasn't been able to hold her, feed her...
anything.
I can't imagine- her daughter is fighting for her life, and here I am- weighed down by my own problems-
Which in retrospect, don't compare in the slightest.
Ladies and gents- It may have taken me a few weeks- but I realized I have been having a "woe is me" party.
Not intentionally of course- Clinical depression is a bitch.
I will beat it though- I am stronger than that.
However I ask, instead of worrying about me, that you please keep my friend's daughter in your thoughts, prayers, good vibes- whatever it is you believe- send them her way. She needs them more than anyone I know right now.

In honor of Memorial Day..
I was recently told this:
"Army? That reason right there along with the fact that it's senseless killing just like other countryies do to us, is why I do not support the army. I HATE when parents leave to go to the army. They leave their babies that need them, that is one of the most selfish things I believe a parent can do."
SELFISH?!
Senseless killing?!
Let's touch the first one: Selfish.
It's now selfish to defend your country?
To risk everything, and at times, pay the ultimate sacrifice: your life. All so someone else can live in freedom.
Do people think military members sign up saying, "HEY! I want to go risk my life, get shot at, hated, possibly killed. I can't wait to never see my family, to come home and my child(ren) not know me! That sounds FAN-TAB-U-LOUS!"
No. They sign up, to support their families. To make the world better for them, and for their country. They are doing something noble; something that should be honored.
(my photo- Share if you'd like- but do not edit. Protected by copyright laws)
Selfish? No.
Maybe they meant SELFLESS. O.o
Now...number two.... "senseless killing."
Let's give examples of Senseless killing:
Vietnam.
Hitler.
9-11.
I didn't list the present, did I?
Sometimes, War is necessary.
Would you rather, when terrorists come after our country, Us, our children, We lay down, and say okay? Would you rather lose your freedom?
I was maybe 10 minutes away from the Shanksville, Pa crash. You can bet...my town will never forget. We will never call our service members "senseless murderers."
I remember...Do you??
Let's not forget the cost of freedom.
And rule of thumb..."If you've nothing nice to say, say nothing at all."
however if you do...that IS your right. And those service members, those selfish, senseless murdering service members...will ALWAYS defend your right to do so.

Today was one of those days...
Those days where you just want to get back into bed, and try it all over again.
With four kids...I can't do that.
They ransacked my house.
So I took their toys.
(bwahahaha).
(Let the bashing begin)
Anyway, I also had the lovely experience of dealing with a twat muffin.
What is a twat muffin you ask?
Today, It's someone who keeps insisting their way is the right way- all the while using condescending tones.
However if you call them out on being a condescending know-it-all, They deny it. With sickly sweet undertones.
But of course.
No one LIKES to be wrong...right?
That's life, sugar plum. Suck it up and deal. I admit when I am wrong.
(unless it's to my husband...DON'T ever do this!)
otherwise, when you are old and grey...you will still hear about "that one time, when you were wrong".
I have experience. O.o
Of course, i'm not old, nor grey. I have a feeling though... LOL.
Moral of the story: No need to be a twat muffin to strangers.
If confused...check love thy neighbor. Mmkay?
Anyway sorry for not getting on here for a week+. My six month has been teething...and exceedingly, well....bitchy.
And, there she goes again...Until next time...

Happy Mother's Day!
Most days I want to tear my hair out. I have my work cut out for me, with four kids...age 5 and under. It seems the days just fly by, and I usually don't stop going until I crash. From sun up to sun down, my day is hectic.
Those who don't have children, may not understand. It's hard work.
There's days I want to throw in the towel. Like when my husband was deployed this last time. I had bought a brand new HUGE container of pepper. My son, 3 at the time, got up and spread the pepper all OVER my kitchen. Me, being hugely pregnant, I was frustrated. I cried.
I took a picture though, and it didn't do it justice...six months later I was still finding pepper. I didnt stop sneezing for a week it seems. (yes that's his underwear.)
Or the time my daughter went through her room and ripped out EVERY piece of clothing out of HER drawers and her SISTER's....have you ever folded 300+ pieces of 0-3,3-6,&6-9 pieces of clothing...to have to go do it right over? Yeah... happened more than I would care to admit.
How about when my son, newly potty trained, was amused he could "aim" and "aimed" it right into his HUGE toy box of toys...I had to hand clean each and every toy...
They definitely keep life interesting.
Thinking back, I laugh now.
That's the point though, isn't it?
When you're at your ropes end, Your children just won't behave...they're screaming at you, jumping off their beds, yelling "I. AM. BATMAAAAAN!!" (crash, WAHHH!) getting into everything and anything...
and you just want to throw in the towel...
Take a breath, and remember: You will laugh later. Learn now, Laugh later. They're children.
(I personally think it's their mission to destroy sanity...Yup!)
Just make sure to stop every now and then, and take in their ages, their mentality.
Enjoy them; their chaos.
It doesn't last forever... and as insane as it sounds...
You will miss it.
I hope every one has a wonderful mother's day.
And when your child does something today, that makes you want to tear your hair out...
take a breath and remember... you were once a child too. You once drove someone absolutely bonkers.

Love thy Neighbor....Or Not.
What is it with the world today? America is quite possibly one of the rudest countries there are these days- It's a "dog eat dog world out there you know."
Why does it have to be? Since when is it so hard to be nice to a stranger, or friend for that matter?
I see it on a daily basis. The worst ones are the ones you call your friends. You get close, and they stab you in the back.
Whatever happened to doing something nice? Being trustworthy?
"Paying it Forward."
Let me ask you this:
When you're out- Do you hold the door open for the next person, or let it slam in their face?
(I see the latter quite frequently.)
Are Americans so busy; so self absorbed, they cannot be bothered to..well.. care??
(YES, I am an American.)
(I know your thought on that, Darkkid- Laziness. You're probably right.)
It probably IS laziness. A lot of it anyway.
Otherwise...how else is America the fattest nation in the world?
(hey, don't kill the messenger.)
Fact remains, is it's true.
As a majority, We've lost compassion, drive, the "American dream."
We, as a whole, have become obese, money hungry, and self absorbed.
It's how the rest of world sees us anyway.
Is this where you want your children to grow up?
Start today... Make the world a better place. Or at least... make THEIR world a better place.
Do something nice. I repeat, "Pay it Forward."
For the love of all things holy, Turn off the TV, and go outside.
And stop blaming the world for your problems. They're yours, the rest of us have our own.
Yes, I know tonight was truly a rant- a roaming one at that.
Get over it. :)
Until Tomorrow...-Roo

Let's get controversial.
Gay marriage. What's so wrong with it?
Let's be grownups here. Put your religious views aside.
My friend today put up a post today, venting about how gays should stop being ridiculed for wanting equal rights.
I happen to agree with her.
Marriage is no longer solely a religious event. It is a joining of two hearts, in union.
It also allows them to have legal benefits as well.
We once denied African Americans rights, as well as women. Now it's time to stop denying homosexuals their rights, just because of their sexual orientation.
If heteros are allowed to marry fifteen times, and divorce as they please.. Homosexuals should have that right as well.
Oh and on the religious standpoint...isn't it stated in the bible that you should "love thy neighbor" and "only god can judge?"
Debate. (any bashing will be deleted) -Roo.
*thank you to Kady, for the inspiration on a topic I too am passionate about.*

Wen u tawk lyke dis...
How In the world do people write like that? Did you slip, fall and have EVERYTHING that you learned your whole life, just leak out your ear?
If so, I’d go see an ENT. STAT.
I’m not a “grammar nazi” by any means..but if I have to take Excedrin to handle your writings… Come on now!
How hard is it to comprehend:
No h in you.
There IS an h in when.
You don't get your hair did. It gets done.
Same with your nails.
Their, they're, and there…use them accordingly.
Periods are your friend…
(Even in the female sense!!)
So are commas, apostrophes, and paragraphs.
You SELL something on SALE until it’s SOLD!
Seriously, it’s like the inter-webs has made idiots out of us all.
What you put on here…stays FOREVER.
Do you REALLY want your future kids, grand-kids, peers, etc to think so less of you?
If you're intelligent, show it.
If not…I’m sure there’s openings at bk and mickeyD’s.

This is me, take it or leave it.
Im Amanda- an army wife, mother to four, all of 23 years old. Ive never went to college (working on it); I’m a photographer. Either you’re going to love me or hate me, that's just how it works, I have found.
Onto the name: when I was younger, I bounced everywhere. In return, my mom nicknamed me roo roo. Do you know how embarrassing it is to have that yelled out at your high school? Better than stinky I suppose, which is my sister, or sniffy- my other sister.
Oh yeah, I totally threw them under the bus there. Like how I did that?
Me too.
Anywho- this is me taking back the nickname. Cant beat em, join em right?
Haha! (I know, jokes probably on me.)
I made this blog to rant, rave, share. From time to time, I’ll share my photography, or my love of cooking. You’ll hear me bitch alot. (if you don’t like swearing, leave now. I’m worse than some military members.)
If you like what you read, stay tuned.
If not….well, I don't really care. No skin off my nose.:)
